Ciro only started developing drumming at the age of 19. He had lessons from drummers such as Charles Schouten, Ernst Van Ee, Jeroen Zange and Michiel Van Der Plicht. The first years consisted of trying to play along with his favorite artists, including Dire Straits, Toto, Eric Clapton, U2, Metallica, Slayer, Death and Obituary. This was with his first drum kit in the attic of his parents’ house, which the neighbors were not very happy about. It did not take long before his first rock cover band was a fact, after which metal music appealed to him more and more. In 1993 he founded the Death Metal band Xenomoroh with his best friend Dennis Van Driel and played a lot as support for Creepmime and Threnody. 1996 to 1997 with the Death Metal band Dissect on the road after which he got the chance to tour with Within Temptation in early 1998 to promote their first album (Enter) and shortly after the EP The Dance. After this wonderful adventure he went to many jam sessions, had some cover bands and did fill-in jobs. Making his own music started to itch and he did that in bands like Dfine, Headroom, Settuno, The Saturnine, Mudguard, Steek dn Draak and Rebelstar. Currently no permanent band but mostly studio projects, own work and fill-ins on request.
