Eddie Volkers is a drummer who grew up with music.
He comes from a large musical family (6 brothers and 4 sisters).
“We had a wide variety of music playing every day, from opera to hard rock and everything in between.”
His interest in music was aroused at a very young age.
All his brothers play(ed) instruments, but drums were the instrument he preferred.
When he was 14, he received his very first real drum kit from his brothers. Before that, he had to make do with the familiar pots, pans and ladles.
From that time on, he started to seriously teach himself music. Playing in various bands in various music styles.
However, when he reached the point where he could no longer teach himself anything, he took private lessons and a new world opened up for him. In the meantime, the experienced drummer has built up a repertoire that is quite impressive. Music styles from jazz to pop, from reggae to metal, you name it, he has played it. “I want to keep my musical repertoire as broad as possible.”
