In the early 90s, Erwin started the band Lymfo Blast with friends, in which he played guitar. When he sat behind the drums for fun, he discovered that drumming was something for him. When Lymfo Blast stopped, it didn’t take long before he bought his first drum kit.
A little later, Erwin started drumming in the punk/metal band Stick To The Pan, with which he gained his first studio experience. He wanted more from drumming, which led to the death metal band Grindminded being founded with guitarist Jerry, and 2 CDs and a mini CD were recorded. Later, Erwin also played drums in Morte Aeterna (black/death).
A few years later, Erwin also played drums in Solidary Trust (thrash/death) in addition to Grindminded. During this period Grindminded stopped and it didn’t take long until Erwin was asked to play drums in Icons Of Brutality (death metal)
From 2019 Erwin was still playing drums in Altar Ego. After about 2 years he stopped doing this, which is why the focus has been 100% on Icons Of Brutality again.
