Flavio was born on February 16 1963. From an early age he was attracted to rock music, listening to the Beatles and the Rolling Stones. At the age of 6 he received his first toy drum set for Christmas. he still has his first wooden Sticks which he uses for good luck. At the age of 10 Deep Purple became his reason for living. Hard Rock, Heavy Metal and Prog are his faith.
He learned to play the drums as a self-taught and later he studied with two great masters: Sandro Lorenzetti (Bennato’s drummer) and above all with Walter Calloni (PFM, Lucio Battisti, Mina just to name a few) one of the greatest drummers in Italy and in the world.
Flavio has recorded some records in his life including: the singles for Bloody Skizz (1981) and Uraniah (1985), and a song for an “Italian Metal” compilation with the band Fallen Sun (1983). later he had other bands: Kandinsky, Barrikada, Mr Bryan (Bryan Adams Trib.) Problem Child (AC/DC Trib.), Old Flame (Thin Lizzy Trib.). Currently he has a Deep Purple/Rainbow Tribute band called MDP Plays Deep Purple, a band called PLAYHARD where they play some covers and some original songs. Kandinsky will reform this year with original old and new songs in Italian language.
Since 2014 he is Manager and Producer of a young band, Muse style, called Under The Snow, look for their singles on spotify and youtube
He was also was drummer for Stef Burns (Y&T, Alice Cooper, Vasco Rossi), for Marco Mendoza (Whitesnake, Thin Lizzy) and Michele Luppi (Whitesnake).
Personally he doesn’t declare himself a technical monster, but he knows how to give Groove to songs. drums are his life.
