Fokke knew what he wanted to do at a very young age (10 years old) and played drums in many different bands. While he was playing drums in Catfever as a support act for the well-known band Normaal, he was asked to join these Achterhoek rockers as a permanent drummer and subsequently played with this company for about 24 years.
Fokke is rightly regarded as the best Dutch blues/roots/rock’n roll drummer.

He toured and played with many national and international artists, a small selection: Matt Schofield (UK), David Gogo (CAN), Byther Smith (USA), BooBoo Davis (USA), De Kast, Catfever, Sunset Travellers, Normaal, Twarres, Shiner Twins, Malford Milligan (USA), Spanjers en de Jong, Dee Dee Priest (USA), De Drentse Blues Opera, King of the World……….
Fokke was drummer and co-founder of the band King of the World in 2012 and won the Dutch Blues Award for best drummer 2013 that year.

Fokke is currently touring with Malford Milligan & The Southern Aces and Johan Derksen’s “The sound of the Blues and Americana” along the Dutch theaters. (Source:chickenforceproject.com)
