Started drumming at the age of 18, Ian has had drumteachers Ernst van Ee (Helloïse/Highway Chile) and Michiel van der Plicht (Pestilence, ex God Dethroned)
Ian also had private lesson with Cesar Zuiderwijk (Golden Earring),Jeroen Simons(Ex Epica) Franseco Paoli (Fleshgod Apocalpse), Brian Frasier-Moore (Madonna/Justin Timberlake and Pink) and James Payne (Ex Vital Remains/ Kataklysm)
Ian is a very sociable drummer who frequently attends drummers’ nights. He has made many connections with fellow drummers through attending these clinics and drum festivals.
