Jef Boons started practising to play drums and percussion at the Music Academy when he was 9 years old. Up till now, he is sitting behind his kit for almost 23 years. When he was about 16 years old, he started playing metal music and came for the first time on stage with his band at the age of 20. Since 2016, Jef has been the drummer in Poseydon. ‘Through the Gate of Hatred and Aversion’ (2023) was his first studio album ever he recorded. As a left-handed drummer, he is mainly known for his great thrash metal feeling since he started in Poseydon.
