Jeff is the drummer and co-founder member of the New Wave Of British Heavy
Metal band Troyen. His influences back in the 70’s and 80’s are bands like Led
Zeppelin, Deep Purple, UFO and Rush and their drummers John Bonham, Ian
Paice, Andy Parker and Neil Peart.
He formed Troyen to play original rock music as did many other bands of our
generation, we were given the New Wave Of British Heavy Metal label by
Sounds journalist Geoff Barton.
Following the demise of Troyen in early 1983 he walked away from playing live
music completely and sold all his gear to get a “proper job”!! Twenty four
years later now married with children and grandchildren a chance encounter
with their old sound guy in 2007 convinced him to buy another kit and start
playing again.
In 2014 Troyen were asked to reform Troyen initially for a “one off gig”… 10 years
later signed to Classic Metal Records they are still releasing albums and playing
gigs across the UK and Europe.
