Tilburg based drummer Jeff Rolink started playing drums at age 9 at his local music school in Etten-Leur, his hometown back in the day. Fun fact: Stef Broks (Textures) lived in the same street and Jeff often heard Stef playing the drums and got inspired.
After 10 years of lessons and playing in a few music school cover bands he bought his first double pedal and started learning to play metal music. Since then, Jeff has played in several metal bands such as Failure!, Powerized, The Devil’s 3rd, AKUMA, played a lot of live shows, did a few tours and gained studio experience.
As of now Jeff plays drums in a promising hardcore/deathcore band called BRACES. Started in late 2022 with their vocalist they already played a lot of prominent live shows, released several singles, an EP and are working on their debut full length album. Next to BRACES, Jeff is also working on a post-rock project called ENFER.
Jeff’s playing consists a mix of groove, heavy hitting, high speeds, smooth techniques and consistency inspired by a variety of drummers such as Mario Duplantier (Gojira), Eloy Casagrande (Slipknot), Chad Smith (RHCP), Craig Reynolds (Stray from the Path) and Stephan Kluesinger (Wage War).
Next to playing drums Jeff loves to head out for a drive on his motorcycle, working out, play some games, go for a drink with friends, a concert or some good food.(Photo by Kim Tielemans)
