Otto de Jong is a drummer, producer and teacher from Utrecht. He obtained his bachelor’s degree in drums at the ArtEZ Conservatory in Zwolle (2008) and his master’s degree in music design at the HKU in Utrecht (2017). After his institutional studies, he started studying tabla with Heiko Dijker and Imran Khan (IND) in 2018. He teaches 30 students in his own teaching practice.

In the past 15 years, he has played various genres and performed at home and abroad. Tours have taken him through the Benelux, Germany, France, the United Kingdom, the US, Canada and India.

Artists he works with or has worked with include: Litzberg, Lorrainville (Edison 2013), Amber Arcades, Anneke van Giersbergen, Blaudzun (in collaboration with Scapino Ballet), Ode to the Quiet, Jaipur Junction, Kitty Kitty Tuna, Tommy Ebben, Knalland, Michiel Flamman (Solo) and recently Catching Cultures Orchestra, of which he is also general director.
