When he was 8 years old he started drumming, got interested in the guitar at 10 years, and at 14 years started in marching band. After switching over from mathematics, he majored in Music Education and Classical Percussion at the University of Puerto Rico. After which he attended Conservatory of Music for 1 year. Then, from 1991-1994 he studied at the NYC Drummers Collective on 14th Street. Over the years he drummed with local NYC bands, and did some studio drumming. He built a floating room recording studio, purchased and set up ADAT equipment and carried on doing recording engineering. During that time he formed the local band SHATIZAR. Additionally, after adding roto-toms to his drum kit, he realized that the roto-tom hardware angle did not match his stick angle, and so he built adjustable hardware for his roto-toms. And here we are, as life goes on music remains the universal language of mankind, conveying emotions all over the world.3
