Carsten Dannert was born in 1978 and discovered his passion for music at an early age. At just 8 years old, he began playing the drums, and since then, he has been captivated by rhythm and percussion. Over the years, Carsten has played in numerous bands that showcase a variety of styles.
His musical journey has taken him through different genres, where he has demonstrated his talent and versatility. Among the bands he has been active in are for example: Jok & the Blues Tools, Eisheilig, Secret Discovery, Triple Headshot and Aschera. Each of these groups has shaped Carsten not only as a musician but also as an artist who is constantly evolving.
Since 2006, Carsten Dannert has been the permanent drummer of the German progressive rock band “Invertigo.” In this role, he has significantly contributed to the band’s creative development and enriched their unique sound with his powerful and precise playing.
With his ability to master complex rhythms with ease, he aims to capture the emotions of Invertigo’s music. With his passion for drumming and his experience in the music scene, Carsten remains an inspiring example for young drummers and a valued part of the German prog-rock landscape.
