Based in the North East of England, Craig is a seasoned professional drummer with a career spanning decades across live performance, studio recording, songwriting, and music education. Known for his precision, power, and versatility, he has performed in a wide range of settings—from club bands and theatre productions to cruise ships and major international festivals.
Inspired early on by bands like Led Zeppelin, Yes, Black Sabbath, and Deep Purple, Craig developed a lifelong love of rhythm and rock. His playing has been shaped by iconic drummers such as Cozy Powell, John Bonham, Pat Torpey, Neil Peart, and Alex Van Halen, whose influence can be felt in both his technical command and musical feel. Over the years, his musical tastes and abilities have expanded, making him a truly adaptable and expressive player.
As a longtime member of the legendary British rock band Tygers of Pan Tang, he has contributed to seven studio albums, four EPs, two live albums, and three singles over more than 25 years. In addition to drumming, he plays an integral role in the band’s songwriting and lyrics, and has produced numerous music videos supporting the Tygers’ releases. He has performed across the globe, including at major international festivals, bringing his signature sound to diverse audiences worldwide.
A highlight of his studio career includes recording an album alongside world-renowned bassist Jeff Berlin, at the late Chris Tsangarides’ studio, a milestone that speaks to his caliber as a musician.
Outside of performance, Craig is passionate about teaching and regularly works in primary schools, where he leads engaging sessions in African, Samba, and Indian Dhol drumming, helping young students discover rhythm and creativity.
“I consider myself incredibly fortunate to have built a life around my greatest passion—making music, sharing it with others, and continuing to grow through it every day.”
Whether live, in the studio, behind the camera, or in the classroom, Craig brings dedication, creativity, and experience to every aspect of his craft.
