Danny Laverde is Colombian American drummer born in Los Angeles, California and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, where he currently resides and calls home. Danny grew up in a musical family and started playing drums when he was eight years old, and over the years had covered genres from rock and progmetal, to jazz fusion and Afro Cuban. He eventually became the touring drummer for new solo artist, Mick Blankenship (debut album produced by John Moyer of Disturbed), supporting Puddle of Mudd across the states. He was then given a small feature in Modern Drummer Magazine article “On the Beat” featured as an up and coming drummer. Since January of 2020, Danny has been the drummer for former Queensrÿche frontman and heavy metal vocal icon, Geoff Tate. Throughout those years, Danny has played in 30+ countries around the world, and toured albums such as Operation Mindcrime, Empire, Rage for Order, and much more. In addition to this, Danny tours with Irish singer songwriter, Mark Daly. Most recently, they have direct supported for international acts such as Geoff Tate himself, and 90’s progressive rock giants, Mr. Big. They will be releasing their first studio album in August of 2024.
