Dutch drummer and studio musician.
La Faille is a childhood friend of bass guitarist Herman Deinum, with whom he played in Blues Dimension from 1967. In 1969 they moved to Cuby and the Blizzards, in 1974 they played in the group Cyril around Cyril Havermans, and from 1976 with Sweet d’Buster. In 1975 La Faille and Deinum formed the rhythm section for the recordings of the LP Fingerprints by Rob Hoeke and Hein van der Gaag.
Since 1996 La Faille and Deinum played with Cuby & The Blizzards again. However, Deinum left the group in 2010. After the death of singer Harry Muskee in September 2011, Cuby & The Blizzards was disbanded. After a short time La Faille set up his own band: ‘Hans la Faille’s Showbizz Bluesband’. He also wrote a book about his musical career that was published in April 2012 under the title ‘Showbizz Blues’. In 2014, La Faille returned to Flavium, where he had already played in the late eighties. In 2019, he founded the band Still Believe, with Deinum, saxophonist Bertus Borgers and guitarist Erwin Java.
