Born in the sixties in the West Coast of France.
Jo Pento is an independant and self made Frensh drummer who plays over 30 years with the great bluesman Mr. Tchang and also with Debbra Wells (London), Little Limmie (aka Sruffy D) (Frensh/USA), Lucky Pepper and Brother Jack.
He is known in France for having a collection of vintage kits which he uses for gigs and recordings.
His influences are; Jazz, Soul, Funk,Blueas, Rock ‘n Roll 50’s, Pop 60’s, Hard rock 70’s.
His favorite drummers are; Fred Below, Al Jackson, Benny Benjamin, Gene Krupa, Elvin Jones, Berhard Purdie, John Bonham, Mitch Mitchel, Charlie Watt, Steve Jordan and Keith Carlock.
