Jürgen Zöller is a German musician. He was the drummer for the Cologne rock band BAP from 1987 to 2014.
Zöller grew up in Hillscheid, near Koblenz. In 1962, he moved to Frankfurt, where he completed an apprenticeship as a merchant. He began playing drums in 1963. By the late 1960s, he was a professional musician and played in various bands. In 1976, he played drums on the song “Schifoan” by Wolfgang Ambros.
In 1977, he joined the band Supermax. In 1981, he moved to Wolf Maahn and his band Die Deserteure. Around the same time, he also worked with Rainhard Fendrich. He was also a producer for the Rodgau Monotones.
From 1987 onward, he was the drummer for BAP. Zöller was the second longest-serving member of the band after Wolfgang Niedecken.
On August 13, 1993, he played drums in Chuck Berry’s band during the opening ceremony of the World Athletics Championships in Stuttgart.
His last concert with BAP took place on September 1, 2014, in Bochum. On September 2, 2014, BAP announced on their website that Zöller had left the band after 27 years.
