Born in Delft on March 2, 1968, Manuel started playing drums at high school in The Hague where he played in a number of cover bands. After high school he also played in several bands from The Hague that made their own work, including: PeppermintPetty, Dr. Livingstone and Bright Lane.

Over the past 10 years he has performed a lot with Checkpoint Mary, a disco-dance band that mainly plays a lot of mesh-ups, where he has made a major contribution to the creation of these mesh-ups and has also invented a number of mesh-ups himself. Checkpoint Mary has also performed a lot in the past 10 years both at home and abroad, including Gabon in Africa.

Manue also regularly fills in with bands he’s friends with and is currently the permanent drummer for Diva Turner, the most famous Tina Turner Tribute band in the Netherlands, with whom he has also performed abroad, including the Sziget Festival in 2024.
