Nico is a Dutch drummer and producer. He is active in the Frisian band De Kast and plays in the rock band Spanner between 2003 and 2006, together with singer Syb van der Ploeg. In addition to drumming, Outhuijse produces De Kast, The New Shining, Jelle B, Zipp, Twarres, Kayak and several other bands in his studio: The Grien Room in Leeuwarden. Outhuijse scored a national radio hit with his production of The New Shining. The song “Can’t Make Up My Mind” was played for months on 3FM, Radio 1 and 2, Radio 538 and Q-Music and all regional stations. In addition, the Radio 2 Top 2000 was reached. It comes from the album Stripped/Full Circle.
In addition to De Kast, Outhuijse was active as a drummer in Motel Westcoast and in Syb & Band.
