Roel Sanders is a Dutch drummer who started drumming at the age of 10. Being a big fan of Neil Peart of Rush and later Dave Lombardo (Slayer) and Pete Sandoval(Morbid Angel) he started to work for Asphyx (alias Sanders van Hoof), God Dethroned, INHUME( founding member), Lucifericon, Snaggletoöth, Kill Division and Mass Deception. He started drumming actively at the age of 15 with local Thrash-Metal bands Mortem and Disinfest. Recorded a never released album with Disinfest for a record company called “Hardware records” which was run by the management of Venom that went bankrupt. Before that he recorded drums for the “Asphyx- Asphyx” album as “Sanders van Hoof “as a session drummer in 1992. In 1994 Roel started the Death/Grind band called INHUME and a few years later he did also join God Dethroned with whom he recorded 3 albums and many live shows world wide. After God Detroned he started a project called Kill Division for Metal Blade records with members of God Dethroned and Legion of the Damned. Nowadays he’s playing live with “Snaggletoöth- Dutch Motörhead tributeband” since 2005 and recently he joined Thrash-metalband Mass Deception to make his debut on the EP called “Halls of Amenti”.
