At the age of 11, she developed a strong preference for drums. She grew up with the music of Toto and was impressed by drummer Jeff Porcaro as a teenager. She learned to play the drums at music school. After that, she also taught herself to play the guitar. After her studies, she started her musical career as a guitarist with Marlayne. After that, she sang and played in the backing band of Marco Borsato. She also performed with Girls Wanna Have Fun, Normaal, Sita, Ten Sharp, Time Bandits and Veldhuis en Kemper, among others. With Normaal, she could be heard as a singer when she sang the song Alie. In 2005, she released her first solo album, Alone. She can also be heard on the CD Stay by Ten Sharp (2003), in the song “Missing Chapter”.
