Doc started playing drums at 8 years young. First kit he got for Christmas…they threw it away the very next day as he broke it to pieces!! The start of Lil’ Killdrums!! Next was a pad kit at 10 years old then his very first Ludwig 3 pc. Pink Champagne Sparkle, complete with a hi hat and a ride cymbal!! He took drums lesson from a guy names Bernie Laurice, who would smoke a pipe and gagged him while repeated the same rudiments over & over!! He started playing in a band at 12 years old that was called BLAZE and later turned into PARADOX. They played skating rinks, schools, parties and mainly in the garage. At 15 years old he met the Oliva Brothers, Jon & Criss, who lived 1 mile away from him in Palm Harbor, Florida! That was 1977 and the rest in kinda history…SAVATAGE! Doc is still playing with a band in Michigan named REVERENCE.
